Javier’s start in agriculture came at 14, when his father lectured him on the importance of efficiency to make the most out of a day. He now brings over 30 years of combined expertise in managing and developing agricultural estates.
He learned to break the language barrier common to the farmer–worker relationship, which let him lead as foreman for Rotie Cellars and DL & JJ Farms Inc. As foreman, he worked through the valley’s transition from fruit trees to the vineyards that are now the face of Walla Walla, and built the skills to maintain multiple productive vineyards.
